Federal Skilled Worker

Federal Skilled Worker

The Federal Skilled Worker Program is Canada's primary economic immigration pathway and gives skilled workers, and their family, the opportunity to become permanent residents in Canada.

The first step in pursuing permanent residence in Canada as a Federal Skilled Worker is to make an expression of interest in immigrating to Canada by creating an online Express Entry profile.

The Canadian government uses six selection factors to assess your eligibility:

  • At least one year of continuous full-time or equivalent paid work experience in the past 10 years in one of the one of the National Occupational Classification (NOC) job groups,
  • Language ability: you must prove an ability to speak either English or French (minimum score of CLB/NCLC 7 in all four abilities),
  • Education: minimum high school diploma,
  • Age,
  • Arranged employment in Canada,
  • Adaptability,

An applicant must score 67 points out of a possible 100 to be eligible for the Federal Skilled Worker program. Once you meet the minimum requirements, your Express Entry profile will be ranked with a different system.

Individuals must also show that they have enough money to support themselves and their dependents after they arrive in Canada.

Our immigration experts will get you into the Express Entry pool quickly and with a profile that gives you the best chance of being selected.
